As a product manager at a fintech company, I thought I knew enough about digital currencies. I didn’t know what true faith is until I met Leo.
We met at a blockchain technology sharing conference. As a special guest, he shared the development of the Bitcoin Lightning Network, and the way he talked confidently on stage made me unable to move my eyes. During the questioning session, I deliberately asked a slightly tricky question: “Can the Lightning Network really solve the scaling problem of Bitcoin?”
He paused for a moment, then burst into a warm smile and said, “That’s a good question”
After the meeting, we talked in the coffee shop until it got dark. He is not like other big shots in the cryptocurrency industry who often boast about their investment returns. On the contrary, he is more enthusiastic about discussing technology itself, with pure passion shining in his eyes.
Slowly, I found myself falling in love with the process of discussing problems with him. He patiently explains complex concepts to me, while I help him think about the user experience of the product. We are like messengers from two worlds, sparking at the intersection.
But there are also challenges in love. Sometimes he gets distracted by market fluctuations or suddenly gets excited in the middle of the night to tell me about newly discovered projects. I learned to understand his passion and also learned to make a cup of coffee and put it at his desk when he was addicted to research.
The most unforgettable night was when Bitcoin plummeted. He was completely listless, and without hesitation, I drove him to the observatory. Look, “I pointed to the starry sky,” the market is like a starry sky, with meteors falling and stars shining. What’s important is that you always look up.”
He tightly held my hand.
Now, our lives are filled with unique understanding. I will help him organize research materials, while he teaches me how to understand market trends. More importantly, we have all learned to maintain genuine connections in the digital world.
Do you know what makes Bitcoin the most fascinating? “He suddenly asked me one night. It’s about making everyone believe in the power of dreams, “I said,” just like you made me believe in love.”
Yesterday, he gave me a special gift – a Bitcoin research note he wrote in 2016, with a note on the last page: “Thank you for making me understand that the best investment is investing in the future, and you are my best future.
